I joined the National Executive in 2023 and have learned plenty during my term. It’s a privilege to work alongside other members of the NE team to guide Celebrants Aotearoa so we can support you. We’ve created many improvements.
Our celebrant whānau is the heart of what we do - and we’re incredibly proud of the dedication, skill, and passion you bring to every ceremony. Now, we’re looking for a few more amazing people to help guide and support our celebrant community across Aotearoa.
With three of our wonderful National Executive (NE) members retiring, we’re seeking enthusiastic, thoughtful individuals to step into these important roles from July 30th.
If you enjoy connecting with other celebrants—whether in your local branch or around the motu—and want to be part of a positive, forward-thinking team, this could be a great opportunity for you.
We're especially keen to hear from:
· Experienced celebrants who want to give back
· Educators or those with leadership experience
· People with skills in marketing, business, or finance
· Positive team players
· Or anyone with fresh ideas and a heart for service.
The role is rewarding and well-supported. CANZ Support takes care of all admin, so you can focus on contributing meaningfully. You’ll need to attend monthly online meetings, plus occasional face-to-face gatherings. Each NE member takes the lead on a portfolio, working closely with the rest of the team.
So, what does it take to be an NE member? I certainly feel it takes passion, energy, and drive, along with the desire to continue growing and developing our Association and constantly working for the best interests of our members. Being on the National Executive is a chance to grow professionally, contribute to something bigger, and help shape the future of celebrancy in Aotearoa.
If you’re keen to contribute to our association's ongoing success and impact our celebrant community, we’d love to hear from you.
