Tēnā koutou katoa,
I am honoured and humbled to step into the role of President for Celebrants Aotearoa.
Our organisation has a proud history of professionalism, advocacy, and connection. My vision is to
honour that legacy while also looking to the future – ka mua, ka muri. We, as a National Executive, are
tasked with ensuring Celebrants Aotearoa remains strong, visible, inclusive, and future-ready.
I intend to focus on four key areas:
• New Celebrant Engagement - attracting, supporting, and celebrating the next generation of
celebrants.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - ensuring our organisation recognises, supports and reflects the
richness of Aotearoa today.
• National Education - providing an array of learning opportunities for our members, no matter where
they are in their celebrant journey, or in the country.
• Advocacy and Visibility - championing our profession to the public and our key partners, ensuring
celebrants are recognised for the skilled professionals we are.
I believe our strength lies in community, and that together, we can shape a vibrant future for Celebrants
Aotearoa - one where you feel valued, supported, and proud to be part of this organisation.
I am excited to connect with each branch over the next few months to listen, learn and understand!
Thank you for trusting me with this role. I look forward to leading with heart, collaboration, and vision.
Ngā mihi nui,
Anna Flanagan
