What does being a celebrant supervisor mean to you?

Professional supervision is a collaborative, contractual and confidential process whereby celebrants can explore and reflect on their own practice with a skilled, trained supervisor, and can evaluate how they can work both better and more fully in their role. Supervision provides a safe, supportive opportunity to discover new ways of handling both the situation and oneself. (Winnie Duggan, an experienced celebrant and professional supervisor, 2020.)

Supervision with Winnie

Feeling troubled or anxious about a particular ceremony you are involved in? Wondering how to manage that difficult client or vendor?

Supervision provides a safe, collaborative, confidential place to explore with another professional who is trained and skilled in working with you to reflect on your work, and find options and new ways to handle both the situation and yourself.

I will help you to discuss those challenging situations, and your reaction to them, consider self-care options, affirm what is working well and how you might work more fully in your role.

We can also look at what triggers you in a ceremony or relationship with clients, and how you might plan for unexpected experiences. The time is yours, you set the agenda, I listen to what is on your mind at the time, and help you work out what needs to happen from there.

Winnie has been a trained counsellor and supervisor for over 30 years, a celebrant for 20 years with experience in a wide range of ceremonies, as well as a celebrant educator providing supervision through The Celebrant School.
