For the final live webinar for 2025, The Grief Centre is presenting a new topic for professional development - 'Working with loss: An attachment-informed, internal family systems approach.'

This webinar explores how human connection, especially through secure attachment, supports resilience in the face of death and loss.

Drawing on Dr Gordon Neufeld’s attachment-based developmental approach, it examines how healthy attachment forms, how it may become stuck, and how this affects grief.

The session also highlights that attachment can continue beyond death and introduces the idea of “earned secure attachment” (Lyons-Ruth, 1998), using Internal Family Systems theory to show how healing is possible even after the loss of a loved one.

Presenter: Dr Ruth Lawson-McConnell

Live webinar: Monday 8th December, 1pm to 3pm (recording provided)
